11/12/2025 Fulton, MO – The Westminster women's basketball team struggled to find its offensive rhythm on Tuesday evening, falling 56–29 to Coe College inside Westminster Gym.
The Blue Jays were limited to just four points in the first half as Coe's defensive pressure disrupted early possessions and forced Westminster into difficult looks. The offense showed improvement coming out of the break, posting 14 points in the third quarter and 11 in the fourth, but the early deficit was too large to overcome.
Gizelle Carreto led Westminster with nine points, hitting 4-of-13 from the field while adding five rebounds. Aly Bullock followed with eight points and five rebounds, and Madison Brown added three points off the bench. Mariah Mayfield contributed five points, including a three-pointer, while Hana Neuman and Deyja Mayes each added two.
Despite the offensive challenges, the Blue Jays continued to battle on the boards, pulling down 33 rebounds. Turnovers again proved costly, with Westminster committing 21 on the night.
The Blue Jays (0–3) will look to regroup as they hit the road for their next matchup. Westminster travels to Illinois College on Friday, Nov. 14.
