9/20/2025 Fulton, MO – The Westminster men's soccer team earned a hard-fought 2–1 win over Hannibal-LaGrange on Saturday afternoon, using a pair of second-half goals to clinch their fifth victory of the season.
After a scoreless opening half, the Blue Jays wasted no time after the break. In the 54th minute, Braedon Cairer broke through with his first goal of the season to give Westminster the lead. Just over ten minutes later, Owen Harrison doubled the advantage with a strike in the 66th minute.
Hannibal-LaGrange battled back late, cutting the deficit to 2–1 in the 84th minute on a goal. The Blue Jays defense and goalkeeper Danny Monroy, who tallied four saves in the full 90 minutes, held firm to secure the win.
Westminster (5–3) will look to build on the victory when they travel to Illinois College on Tuesday, September 23, at 6 p.m.
