9/28/25 Fulton, MO - The Westminster volleyball team picked up a key conference victory on Saturday, defeating Blackburn in four sets by scores of 26–28, 25–17, 25–16, and 25–13. After dropping a close first set, the Blue Jays responded with three straight dominant performances to seal the win. 

Katelynn Jackson fueled the Blue Jays' attack with 17 kills on a .406 hitting percentage while adding 11 digs and two block assists for a well-rounded effort. Paige Rowland was also outstanding offensively, finishing with 14 kills on .324 hitting, while Kylie Hasselbacher contributed 11 kills and 11.5 points overall. Samantha Hansen added eight kills, hitting an efficient .500, to round out the balanced attack. Landrey VanOverschelde orchestrated the offense with 35 assists and added nine digs and three service aces. Libero Haylie Schnake anchored the defense, collecting a team-high 20 digs and chipping in four service aces. Meghan Nolte provided eight kills and strong play at the net with two block assists. 

As a team, Westminster tallied 61 kills on a .278 hitting percentage and controlled the match after the opening frame with steady serving and consistent defense. 

The Blue Jays return home for their next match on Wednesday, October 1, when they host Webster at 7 p.m. inside Historic Gym.
