1/30/2026 Fulton, MO - The Westminster men's basketball team came up just short in a tight contest against Principia, falling 80–75 on Wednesday night.
The Blue Jays got off to a strong start, edging Principia 41–42 at the half and keeping the game within reach throughout the second half. Westminster continued to battle, but Principia was able to make key plays down the stretch to secure the win.
Walker Gohring led all scorers with a game-high 25 points, shooting 9-of-17 from the field and a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line. Gavin Hendrix added 11 points and seven rebounds, while Kolton Garner chipped in 10 points and five boards. Jamile Johnson contributed eight points and a team-high eight rebounds.
Westminster finished the night shooting 49 percent from the floor and outrebounded Principia 44–40. The Blue Jays will look to bounce back on Saturday, Jan. 31, when they return home for a 3 p.m. tipoff.
