1/31/2026 Fulton, MO - The Westminster women's basketball team earned a 61–41 home victory over Eureka on Saturday afternoon, improving to 7–3 in SLIAC play.
The Blue Jays set the tone early, holding Eureka to just nine points in the first quarter and building a 29–13 halftime advantage behind strong defensive pressure and control of the boards. Westminster continued to extend the lead in the second half, closing the game with a 20-point fourth quarter to seal the win.
Aly Bullock led the way with a double-double, finishing with 12 points and a game-high 13 rebounds while going a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line. Evalena Claxton added 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting and pulled down six rebounds. Deyja Mayes chipped in seven points and five rebounds, while Reagan Chigas scored six points and added five boards.
Westminster dominated on the glass, outrebounding Eureka 66–38, and held the Red Devils to 41 points on the afternoon. The Blue Jays' balanced scoring saw 11 different players contribute points. The Blue Jays will return to the court on Saturday, Feb. 7, when they host Spalding at 1 p.m. in another SLIAC matchup.
