2/16/2026 Fulton, MO – The Westminster men's basketball team fell to Mississippi University for Women, 73-58, on Monday night. The loss moves the Blue Jays to 6-18 overall and 2-12 in SLIAC play.
MUW built a five-point advantage in the first half, leading 32-27 at the break, and pulled away in the second half with 41 points to secure the 15-point victory.
Kolton Garner paced Westminster with 14 points, knocking down three shots from beyond the arc while adding five assists and four rebounds. Jamile Johnson provided an efficient 13 points on 6-of-7 shooting and grabbed four rebounds. Walker Gohring also reached double figures with 11 points, including three three-pointers. Sean LaRose contributed nine points, while Roman Phillips pulled down five rebounds.
The Blue Jays shot 8-of-17 from three-point range and committed just nine turnovers, but MUW capitalized on key stretches in the second half to extend the lead. Westminster will look to bounce back when they travel to face MUW again on Thursday, Feb. 19.
