2/19/2026 Fulton, MO – The Westminster women's basketball team picked up a key SLIAC road win Thursday night, defeating Mississippi University for Women, 67-52. The Blue Jays improve to 9-14 overall and 9-6 in conference play.
Westminster came out strong, building a 21-11 lead after the first quarter and extending it to 40-20 at halftime after holding MUW to just nine second-quarter points. The Blue Jays added 19 points in the third to maintain control before closing out the 15-point victory.
Mariah Mayfield led Westminster with 13 points, going 5-of-16 from the field and a perfect 2-of-2 from the free-throw line. Aly Bullock recorded a double-double with 10 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. Gizelle Carreto added 11 points, including three three-pointers, while also contributing nine rebounds and five assists. Madison Brown chipped in six points, and Amonye Allen and Jamie Peffer each added five. Westminster dominated the glass with 53 total rebounds and finished with 14 assists in the win.
The Blue Jays will close out conference play on Saturday, Feb. 21, when they travel to face Lyon at 1 p.m.
