2/25/2026 Fulton, MO – The No. 3 seed Westminster women's basketball team punched its ticket to the SLIAC Tournament semifinals Tuesday night with a hard-fought 57-55 victory over Greenville in the quarterfinal round.
In a defensive battle from start to finish, the Blue Jays held Greenville to just 12 first-quarter points and carried a 33-23 lead into halftime after outscoring the Panthers 19-11 in the second quarter. Greenville made a late push in the fourth, but Westminster's defense held firm down the stretch to secure the two-point win.
Aly Bullock led the way with 16 points, knocking down two three-pointers and pulling down a dominant 11 rebounds to record a double-double. She also added five blocks and two steals in a strong all-around performance. Deyja Mayes added 12 points and seven rebounds, while Reagan Chigas contributed eight points and five boards. Gizelle Carreto provided seven points off the bench, and Mariah Mayfield added five points with two steals.
With the win, the Blue Jays improve to 11-14 overall and advance to the SLIAC Tournament semifinals. Westminster will face Principia on Friday, Feb. 27, at 5:30 p.m. at Webster University.
