10/23/2025 Fulton, MO – The Westminster men's soccer team extended its winning streak with a decisive 4-1 win over Spalding University on Thursday night at home. The Blue Jays dominated both halves, earning their fourth straight victory behind another strong offensive performance.
After Spalding struck first in the 13th minute, Westminster quickly responded. Juan Pico-Vazquez equalized in the 36th minute off an assist from Nathan Naumann, sparking a wave of momentum. Just four minutes later, Naumann found the back of the net himself, assisted by Christian Mahoro, to give Westminster a 2-1 lead heading into halftime.
The Blue Jays kept up the pressure after the break, with Lucas Sottile scoring early in the second half to make it 3-1. Naumann added his second goal of the night in the 80th minute, once again assisted by Mahoro, to seal the win.
Goalkeeper Hunter Deeken anchored the defense with six saves, keeping Spalding off the board after the early goal. Westminster outshot the Golden Eagles 23-15, showing their control of the match from start to finish.
