10/29/2025 Fulton, MO – The Westminster men's soccer team closed out its regular season on Wednesday night with a 4-0 loss to Greenville University, finishing conference play as the No. 2 seed heading into the SLIAC Tournament.
Despite a strong effort, the Blue Jays couldn't find the back of the net against a tough Greenville defense. The Panthers jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first half and added two more in the second to secure the win.
Westminster created several chances, recording 11 total shots with two on goal. Lucas Sottile and Krischan Schulz each registered a shot on target, while Evan Schmitt and Lachlan Zetter contributed offensively with additional attempts.
Goalkeeper Hunter Deeken played the full 90 minutes for the Blue Jays. Westminster also held an 8-6 advantage in corner kicks, showing persistence in the attacking third despite Greenville's defensive pressure.
With the regular season now complete, the Blue Jays turn their focus to the postseason. Westminster will enter the SLIAC Tournament as the No. 2 seed, looking to make a deep run and compete for the conference title. Tournament details and match up information will be announced soon.
