11/2/2025 Fulton, MO - The Westminster women's soccer team battled through 110 minutes of intense postseason action before prevailing in a dramatic shootout victory over Principia in the SLIAC Quarterfinals on Saturday night in Fulton. With the win, the Blue Jays advance to the SLIAC Semifinals, where they will face Greenville on Thursday, November 6, at 2:30 p.m. 

The match was a defensive showcase for Westminster, led by goalkeeper Reagan Chigas, who played all 110 minutes and recorded five saves in the shutout. Chigas was at her best when it mattered most, stopping two penalty kicks in the shootout to lift the Blue Jays to victory. 

Westminster created consistent offensive pressure throughout the match, finishing with 15 total shots, including seven from Fiona Shelp and four from Emma Fontenot. Addi Curtis, Molly Angell, and Shea Nortrup also contributed offensively, each recording multiple looks on goal. 

In the decisive shootout, Westminster remained composed under pressure as Faith Coates, Shelp, Curtis, and Kendall Chigas all converted their kicks to secure the 4–2 win. 

With the victory, the Blue Jays move on to face Greenville in Thursday's semifinal matchup, a rematch of their 1–1 draw from the regular season. Westminster enters the contest with momentum and confidence after a gritty, hard-earned postseason win.
