12/15/2025 Fulton, MO - The Westminster men's basketball team earned an impressive 84–79 home victory over Loras on Monday night, improving to 4–6 overall and 2–1 in SLIAC play. 

The game featured a fast pace from the opening tip, with Westminster holding a 39–35 advantage at halftime. Loras answered in the second half, keeping the contest within one possession for much of the final 10 minutes, but the Blue Jays responded with timely shooting and defensive stops to secure the win. 

Walker Gohring delivered a standout performance, pouring in a game-high 33 points on 11-of-17 shooting, including six three-pointers, while adding eight assists to lead the offense. Kolton Garner followed with 16 points, knocking down four shots from beyond the arc and recording three blocks on the defensive end. Jamile Johnson was nearly perfect from the floor, finishing with 12 points and nine rebounds while providing a strong presence in the paint. Westminster's balanced effort continued with Kobe Jones contributing seven points and four assists, while Gavin Hendrix and Sean LaRose each added six points off the bench. The Blue Jays shot an efficient 56.8 percent from the field and connected on 12 three-pointers, a key factor in holding off Loras' late push. 

With the win, Westminster closes out its home slate before heading back on the road. The Blue Jays will return to action on December 30, traveling to face Hendrix in a nonconference matchup.
