9/16/2025 Fulton, MO - The Westminster men's soccer team came up short on Tuesday night, dropping a 4–1 decision to Hendrix College.
The Warriors struck early, scoring twice in the first half to carry a 2–0 advantage into the break. Hendrix added two more goals in the second half to extend their lead.
The Blue Jays got on the board in the 77th minute when Jack Hughes netted his first season goal, cutting the deficit to 4–1. Despite generating more looks late, Westminster could not close the gap.
Freshman goalkeeper Danny Monroy went the full 90 minutes in net, recording two saves under constant pressure. Khamani Matallah anchored the Blue Jay defense, playing all 90 minutes and contributing two shot attempts, both on goal.
Westminster will look to regroup when they travel to face Hannibal-LaGrange on Saturday, September 20, at 1 p.m.
