2/16/2026 Fulton, MO – The Westminster women's basketball team battled Mississippi University for Women on Monday night but came up short in a 66-60 loss. The Blue Jays move to 8-14 overall and 8-6 in SLIAC play.
The game was tight throughout, with MUW holding a slim 29-18 lead at halftime. Westminster responded with a strong third quarter, outscoring MUW 22-21, and continued to fight in the fourth with 20 points but could not fully erase the deficit.
Aly Bullock led the Blue Jays with 17 points, knocking down two three-pointers and adding a dominant 10 rebounds to record a double-double. She also made her presence felt defensively with five blocks and a steal. Gizelle Carreto contributed 12 points and a team-high 11 rebounds for a double-double of her own, while Reagan Chigas added 11 points and six boards. Mariah Mayfield chipped in nine points, hitting two shots from beyond the arc.
The Blue Jays will look for redemption when they travel to face MUW again on Thursday, Feb. 19.
